📖 About This Calculator

Elden Ring Weapon Calculator is a free online tool designed for Elden Ring players who want to maximize their weapon's Attack Rating (AR) and build efficiency. Simply enter your weapon's base damage, upgrade level, affinity, and scaling grades along with your character's attributes — Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane — and the calculator instantly computes your total AR with a full breakdown of every scaling bonus. Whether you are theory-crafting a new build or comparing two weapons side by side, this tool gives you accurate and instant results without launching the game.

🚀 How to Use

1 Step 1 — Enter Weapon Settings
2 Start by entering your weapon name for reference, then select the weapon type and your current upgrade level from +0 to +25. Enter the weapon's base physical damage and select your affinity or infusion such as Heavy, Keen, Blood, Occult, Magic, or any other available option.
3 Step 2 — Enter Player Attributes
4 Input your character's five core combat stats — Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane — each ranging from 1 to 99. If you are two-handing the weapon, select Yes in the Two-Handing option to automatically apply the 1.5x Strength multiplier.
5 Step 3 — Enter Scaling Grades
6 Select the scaling grade for each stat based on your weapon's shown scaling. Grades range from E (lowest) to S (highest). Leave any stat as None if your weapon does not scale with it.
7 Step 4 — Click Calculate Attack Rating
8 Once all fields are filled, click the Calculate Attack Rating button to instantly see your results.
9 Step 5 — View Your Results
10 The calculator displays your Total Attack Rating along with a full breakdown including:
11 Base AR — damage after upgrade level is applied
12 Scaling Bonus — total bonus from all stat scaling
13 Upgrade Bonus — extra damage gained from smithing upgrades
14 Effective STR — your Strength after two-handing multiplier
15 AR Tier — rated as S, A, B, C, or Weak based on total AR
16 Scaling Breakdown — individual bonus from each stat

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

The calculator uses the standard scaling formulas and grade multipliers that the Elden Ring community has reverse-engineered from the game's data. For most weapons and affinities it produces results very close to in-game values, making it reliable for build planning and weapon comparisons. However, some unique weapons, boss weapons, and special affinities have non-standard scaling curves that may cause minor differences. Always treat the result as a highly accurate estimate and verify final numbers in-game when theory-crafting a serious build.
When you select Yes for Two-Handing, the calculator automatically multiplies your Strength stat by 1.5 before applying scaling bonuses. This means a character with 40 Strength effectively has 60 Strength when two-handing a weapon, which can significantly increase your AR if your weapon has strong Strength scaling. This is one of the most efficient ways to boost damage without investing additional stat points, and the calculator's Effective STR field shows you exactly what Strength value is being used in the final calculation.
Scaling grades for every weapon at every upgrade level are visible directly in the game by opening your inventory, selecting the weapon, and checking the attribute scaling section which shows letters from E to S for each stat. Grades also change as you upgrade a weapon — a weapon with a D grade in Strength at +0 may improve to a B or even A at +25. For the most accurate results, always check your weapon's scaling grades at its current upgrade level rather than using the base grade shown on the wiki.
