📖 About This Calculator
The AP Chemistry exam is scored on a 1–5 scale based on your performance across two sections. This calculator uses official College Board scoring guidelines to give you an accurate score prediction.
📝 Section I — Multiple Choice (MCQ)
60 questions worth 50% of your total score. No penalty for wrong answers. Each correct answer = 1 raw point. You have 1 hour 30 minutes for this section.
✏️ Section II — Free Response (FRQ)
7 questions worth 50% of your total score. Includes 3 long FRQs (10 pts each) and 4 short FRQs (4 pts each). You have 1 hour 45 minutes for this section.
⚗️ How Scoring Works
Your MCQ raw score (out of 60) and FRQ raw score (out of 54) are each converted to a weighted score and added together to form a composite score out of 114. This composite is then mapped to your final AP score of 1–5.
